Security Survey:
Pinkerton's annual Top Security Threats Survey, which has become the standard in the security industry has recently released their findings. This survey polls the Fortune 1,000's security executives regarding the top security threats facing corporations. This year, Workplace Violence again topped the list. The risk of Terrorism jumped to No. 3 from No. 17 in 2001.
The Top Ten Concerns Are:
- Workplace Violence
- Business Interruption
- Terrorism (Global and Domestic)
- Computer Crime (Internet/Intranet)
- Employee Selection/Screening concerns (Crimianl Backgrounds, Resume Fruad,etc.)
- Fraud/White-Collar Crime
- Unethical Business Conduct
- General Employee Theft
- Property Crime (External theft, vandalism, etc.)
- Drugs/Alcohol In The Workplace
