Sex in the Workplace

In its annual survey, the Employment Law Alliance found that roughly 1 in 5 women have been sexually harassed at work. The survey also reveals:
  • 20% knew of a romantic relationship between a supervisor and subordinate at work:

  • 66% said romantic relationships at work cause favoritism and poor morale;

  • 54% said employees were likely to face retaliation if they rejected romantic overtures from their supervisor

  • 66% reported that romantic relationships at work are personal and private and should not be regulated; and

  • 7% of men experience sexual harassment in the workplace
