What hours do NOT count towards FMLA worked hours of 1250???
FMLA only applies to employees who have worked at least 1250 hours in the 12 month preceeding the date of the requested leave. But what hours may not be counted towards the official calculation of 1250 hours? Answer: Paid vacation, sick time, holiday pay and other forms of paid leave do NOT count towards the 1250 hour standard. Additionally, time spent by an employee conducting union business does not qualify as "hours worked" under the FMLA.
